Course DescriptionStudents will explore four software applications. Microsoft Word will be used to create a variety of engaging documents while learning advanced features. Students will utilize Microsoft Excel to develop spreadsheets with formulas, graphs, and special formatting for reports. Students will produce podcasts or digital audio files with music, sound effects, and their own voice in Audacity. These new skills will be applied as students create a film in their final project using Microsoft MovieMaker.

Essential OutcomesWord Processing: Demonstrate an ability to apply intermediate formatting to Microsoft Word; including but not limited to, editing tools, page layout/formatting, and inserting/editing tables and graphics.
Spreadsheets: Demonstrate an understanding of spreadsheet formulas and functions (SUM, AVERAGE, MAX, MIN). Podcasting: Create an organized podcast utilizing Audacity that includes voice recording, importing sound effects, and importing music. Video Production: *Organize thoughts into a coherent motion picture. *Create a video including multiple scenes, credits, titles, narration, and music. Cooperative Teamwork: Work collaboratively with peers to create complete multimedia projects. |
